Mark43 is currently seeking a Federal Account Executive to join our team. You’ll play a crucial role in managing and securing sales to federal government agencies. You will promote Mark43’s products and services, identify new business opportunities within the federal market, build strong relationships with key stakeholders in federal agencies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless execution. As a Federal Sales Representative specializing in the civilian sector, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by selling our products and solutions to government agencies. Your primary focus will be on understanding the unique needs of the civilian sector and tailoring our offerings to meet those requirements. You’ll work closely with government decision-makers, build strong relationships, and drive successful sales outcomes.
What you can expect to work on:
- Pursue and Close: Actively hunt Federal sales through sales demos, relationship building, and problem-solving, all rooted in integrity.
- Full sales life cycle: Attentive control over the process, persistence in understanding specific procurement next steps, and consistently driving for progress throughout the sales journey.
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Actively seek out new business opportunities through events, networking, and other lead generation activities. Travel regularly to trade shows and industry events in your territory to prospect and network.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and understand their needs and pain points, along with competitors in the space.
- Sales Presentations: Gain a deep understanding of Mark43’s value proposition, the competitive landscape, and buyers’ needs and requirements to deliver an effective pitch of Mark43’s products.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, understand their business challenges and provide tailored solutions. Continually grow and expand a network to unlock new leads and drive revenue.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain an organized and up-to-date sales pipeline, tracking progress and following up on leads in a timely manner. Be very comfortable in annotating all sales activity in CRM tools.
- Strategic Partnerships: Develop and nurture relationships with key partners to identify and leverage new sales opportunities, ensuring mutual growth and success.
What we expect from you:
- A hunter mentality with a proven track record of exceeding goals.
- Knowledge of federal contracting vehicles (GSA Schedules, GWACs, IDIQs).
- Craft and articulate a cohesive sales strategy tailored for the civilian sector.
- Exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual bookings and revenue objectives.
- Familiarity with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and agency-specific acquisition processes.
- Proven success in B2G (business-to-government) sales, preferably within the federal sector.
- Cultivate strong relationships with federal agency leaders, program managers, and procurement officers.
- Develop a deep understanding of the federal civilian sector including its organizational structure, key decision-makers, and specific challenges.
- Stay informed about relevant policies, regulations, and initiatives affecting the federal sector.
- Significant experience working with federal government agencies, particularly within the civilian sector, with ties into many agencies.
- Proven success in selling technology solutions, preferably in areas such as cloud services, cybersecurity, or data analytics.
- Familiarity with federal procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements such as FedRAMP.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders.
