The Solutions Engineer plays a crucial role on our Sales team, requiring close collaboration with various internal teams at Mark43. Our Solutions Engineers serve at the crossroads of many teams, acting as the glue that holds different stakeholders together as we continue to launch our product with public safety agencies around the world. To be successful in this role, we expect our Solutions Engineers to establish personal rapport with potential and actual customers, vendors, and other persons, allowing for a deep understanding of technical requirements that will ensure the success of our product deployments to public safety agencies. This is a remote position with travel expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Collaborate to respond to proposals and convert clients to in-person demos.
  • Become an expert on specific technical considerations regarding RFP requirements.

Sales

  • Attend in-person demos and assist in qualifying, demonstrating, and communicating the Mark43 platform’s technical value proposition to new customers.
  • Provide support to Account Executives and SDRs.

Tech Services

  • Gather technical requirements necessary for successful migrations and integrations for new departments we work with.

Deployments

  • Help manage and execute new deployments and mitigate technical concerns as they arise from communications with our clients.

Engineering and Product

  • Understand and communicate the product roadmap to current and future customers.
  • Inform the roadmap going forward.

 

What We Expect From You

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of enterprise software sales experience.
  • Experience selling to Government and Public Safety Clients (ideally CAD/RMS).
  • Excellent technical writing skills and basic familiarity with the government procurement process (RFP/I/Q).
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to run and structure in-depth product demonstrations.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, able to work autonomously.
  • Ability to travel 50-80% with Account Executives to communicate technical value proposition.
  • Understanding of the product lifecycle, from requirements gathering to maintenance support.
